Association Pourvoiries Mauricie

Mauricie’s wilderness lodge association

In the Mauricie, we’ve always believed we’re stronger together. Mauricie’s wilderness lodge association brings together some fifty lodges from all four corners of the region.

Working together to shine brighter

Mauricie’s wilderness lodge association, Association des pourvoiries de la Mauricie, is a non-profit organization that brings together some fifty lodges, all of them members of the Québec Outfitters Federation. Its core mission is to show the huge potential of our outdoor spaces and promote the region’s wilderness lodges as premier destinations for fishing and spending time in nature.

Mauricie’s wilderness lodge and outfitting industry at a glance:

  • The region’s second-biggest industry
  • A third of all tourism
  • 500 direct jobs
  • 150,000 locals and visitors who love fishing and nature
  • Over $35 million in economic spinoffs throughout the region each year

Working together to protect

Mauricie’s wilderness lodges know the region better than anyone. You could even say they know it by heart. In addition to welcoming you with open arms, they play an essential role in conserving our wilderness spaces and making sure our natural resources continue to thrive.

MemorableExperiences
  • « We manage the peace and quiet, the scenery, the good fishing. You really have to work as a team and make the most of each person’s knowledge and experience. »

Bruno Caron, co-owner of Pourvoirie Waban-Aki

Our outfitters work hard, every day, to make sure future generations can enjoy the wild, unique, protected spaces that are such an integral part of who we are in this region.
